2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Electronic Shifter Malfunction

Issue / Concern

I have the 'monostable' shifter that always returns to center. This morning, all the letters (P,R,N,D,S) started flashing red and the car wouldn't move out of Park. I had to use the manual release under the console just to get it onto the tow truck. I'm seeing 'Service Shifter' on the dash. I've heard there was a recall for this, but my VIN says it's already been done. Is this a TCM issue or the actual shifter assembly?

Disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to reset the modules and checked the fuses in the TIPM.
