2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee - P0562 and Shifting issues

My 2014 JGC is acting possessed. While driving, the wipers occasionally swipe once on their own, and now the transmission has gone into 'Limp Mode' where it stays in one gear. The scanner shows P0562 (System Voltage Low).

I checked the battery under the passenger seat and it's less than a year old. The alternator is putting out 14V at idle. I cleaned the battery terminals but the voltage on my OBD2 live data shows it dropping to 11.2V while driving. Could this be the TIPM (Fuse box) failing?

✅ Confirmed fix: Look at the ground strap located on the passenger side engine mount. On these WK2 Jeeps, the ground strap braids often corrode and snap or become high-resistance.

I replaced my frayed ground strap with a heavy-duty 4-gauge cable and all the 'phantom' electrical issues and the P0562 vanished. The transmission computer is extremely sensitive to voltage drops and will lock the solenoids if it sees anything under 12V.

Check the main power cable that runs from the alternator back to the battery. These are known for high resistance at the crimps. If the cable feels hot to the touch while the engine is running, that's your drop point.
