2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee - No Start No Crank / Push Button Fault

Question

Sometimes I get in the Jeep, hit the 'Start' button, and nothing happens. No click, no crank, just the dash lights flicking on. Sometimes it takes 10 tries, other times it starts on the first go. The battery is only a year old and I've cleaned the terminals.

When it doesn't start, I get a message saying 'Service Keyless System'. I've tried using the fob to push the button directly as the manual says for a dead fob battery, but it doesn't make a difference. Relays seem to be clicking in the PDC but no starter engagement.

✅ Confirmed fix: The issue was a faulty Brake Pedal Position (BPP) sensor. The car wouldn't crank because the BCM didn't think the brake pedal was depressed, even though the lights were sometimes working. Replaced the sensor located above the brake pedal arm and calibrated it with a scan tool. It has started perfectly every time for three weeks. Always check the simple 'safety' inputs first on these push-start systems.

This sounds like a TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) failure, which is extremely common on 2014 Jeeps. The internal fuel pump relay or starter relay traces go bad. You can try a bypass cable to see if it's the internal relay not sending power to the starter solenoid.
