2014 Kenworth T680 - Eaton UltraShift Plus - Fails to Engage Gear

Question

My 2014 T680 with the Eaton UltraShift Plus is giving me fits. Sometimes when I try to take off from a stop, it just sits in neutral and an 'F' appears on the gear display. I have to cycle the key 2-3 times to get it to find a gear.

It seems to happen more when the truck is hot. If I'm creeping in traffic, it's almost guaranteed to fail. I can hear the actuators clicking, but it just won't 'bite'.

✅ Confirmed fix: The issue was the clutch release bearing was dry and sticking on the input shaft slide. It was preventing the ECA from accurately positioning the clutch. Greased the release bearing and the input shaft through the inspection hole, and performed a clutch calibration service. No more 'F' codes.

Sounds like the ECA (Electronic Clutch Actuator) is failing. When they get hot, the internal motor starts to drag and won't move the clutch fast enough, triggers a fault code.
