2015 Nissan Frontier - ABS Light On - Code C1126 Rear Left Inlet Solenoid

Question

My ABS and Slip warning lights just popped up on the dash during my commute. Hooked up my scanner and pulled code C1126, which points to the Rear Left Inlet Solenoid Valve inside the actuator block. The truck seems to brake normally under light pedal pressure, but I am worried about safety and state inspection.

The issue turned out to be an internal failure of the ABS Actuator and Control Unit. I performed a resistance test on the pins for the LR Inlet Solenoid and found an open circuit. I replaced the entire assembly with Nissan part number 47660-JR65B. After installing the new unit, I had to perform a brake system bleed and cleared the codes; the light has stayed off for over 500 miles. Total cost for the part was approximately $650 from a local dealer.

You need to perform a pin-out test on the ABS actuator connector. Use a multimeter to check the resistance of the solenoid internally; if it is open circuit or shorted to ground, the internal coil in the actuator has failed.
