2015 Nissan Frontier - ABS Light On with C1126 Inlet Valve Fault

Question

My ABS and Slip warning lights just popped on while driving on the highway. I scanned it with my Autel and pulled code C1126 for the Rear Left Inlet Solenoid. The brakes feel okay for now, but I want to get this sorted before winter hits.

The issue turned out to be an internal failure of the ABS Actuator and Electric Unit. I sourced a used pump assembly with matching part number 47660-9CA0B for $220. After installing the unit and performing a full system bleed using a scan tool to cycle the valves, the C1126 code cleared and stayed off. Total repair time was about 3 hours including the brake fluid flush.

Before replacing the expensive actuator, use a multimeter to check the resistance between the solenoid pins on the module side. Sometimes you can get away with just cleaning the pins with electronic cleaner if there is any green crusty corrosion.

Make sure your battery voltage is healthy. These Nissan ABS modules are very sensitive to voltage drops and can throw phantom solenoid codes if the alternator is rippling or the battery is over 4 years old.

I have seen the harness rub through on the frame rail near the rear axle, though usually that throws a wheel speed sensor code rather than an internal solenoid code. Still worth a visual inspection of the loom.
