2019 International LT - A26 Engine - Low Fuel Pressure - SPN 94 FMI 18

Question

Getting a persistent low fuel pressure code on this LT. The truck feels like it's dragging an anchor. I've switched out both fuel filters and the water separator. I checked the fuel lines for any obvious kinks but everything looks straight.

When I monitor the rail pressure, it's falling way behind the 'desired' pressure when I step on the throttle. The fuel pump was replaced 40k miles ago so I'd hate to think it's gone already. Anyone seen this on the A26?

✅ Confirmed fix: Found the fuel strainer inside the fuel modules primary housing was nearly 100% plugged with 'asphaltines' and black slime. It's a small screen that many guys miss when doing a standard filter change. Pulled the housing, cleaned the screen out, and the rail pressure is back to spec.

Check the fuel pickup tube in the tanks. I've seen debris or even plastic tags from fuel addtitives get sucked up and restrict flow. Try blowing shop air back through the supply line (with the fuel cap off) to see if it clears the restriction temporarily.
