2012 Jeep Wrangler JK - P0835 - Intermittent No Crank No Start

Question

I'm having a random no-start issue on my 6-speed manual Wrangler. I turn the key and the dash lights up, but the starter doesn't even click. If I cycle the key five or six times or push the clutch pedal down really hard, it might start. Sometimes it won't start for an hour then suddenly works fine.

I checked the battery terminals and they are tight and clean. Battery tested good at 700 CCA. The P0835 code is for Clutch Pedal Switch 'B' Circuit High. Could it really just be a sensor?

✅ Confirmed fix: Replaced the Clutch Multi-Function Switch (neutral safety switch) located on the clutch master cylinder rod. The internal contacts were burnt. Bypassing the switch with a jumper confirmed the starter circuit was fine, so a new switch was the permanent solution.

Check the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module). Jeeps of this era have notorious internal relay failures. If the starter relay inside the fuse box is clicking but not sending 12V to the solenoid, that's your culprit.
