2015 Chevrolet Silverado - C0035 and StabiliTrak Warning

Question

Every time I turn the steering wheel sharply to the left, my 'Service StabiliTrak' message pops up and the ABS light stays on until I cycle the key. Sometimes the brake pedal feels like it's vibrating even when I'm barely braking on dry pavement.

Pulled the codes and got C0035 (Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit). I replaced the sensor itself with one from the local parts store, but the light came back on the very next day. I'm starting to think it's a BCM issue or a wiring nightmare.

✅ Confirmed fix: You need to inspect the wiring harness where it clips to the upper control arm. On the 2014-2018 Silverados, the harness is too short and the copper wires break inside the insulation from the suspension travel.

Replace the sensor pigtail with the updated AC Delco repair kit that provides a bit more slack. Simply replacing the sensor won't fix a broken wire inside the loom. I soldered in a new pigtail and the C0035 vanished for good.

It's likely the wheel bearing hub assembly itself. The tone ring inside the hub can get corroded or cracked, causing an erratic signal that the sensor can't read properly. If the bearing has any play in it, that will also throw the code.
