SPN 5867 - Aftertreatment Hydrocarbon Doser (Hydrocarbon Injector)

What it means

Indicates a fault with the HC doser (7th injector), which is responsible for injecting fuel into the exhaust stream during a DPF regeneration. The ECM has detected a current out of range, circuit failure, or mechanical malfunction in the dosing unit.
