What it means

The Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected a short to ground or an open circuit in the Secondary Air Injection (SAI) control valve 'B' circuit. On some heavy-duty platforms, this code may also be associated with pneumatic solenoids used for emissions purge or air-assisted urea injection.
